Roger has fifteen years of experience in the engineering consulting field, much of which has been dedicated to electrical building systems. His wide range of project experience has enabled him to bring many different approaches to projects whether it is an approach to solve a budget consideration or to provide unique lighting design to a project. His education as an Architectural Engineer has allowed him to expand his knowledge into the mechanical and plumbing disciplines enabling him to truly understand all the systems within a building. With the ability to visualize a project from start to finish, difficult building system problems become very clear and concise. Roger’s most recent experience includes Sundial House in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, Paris Elementary School in Aurora, Colorado, Morningstar Assisted Living in Denver, Colorado, Observatory Place in Denver, Colorado and Ridgegate Office Building in Lone Tree, Colorado.

As a founding Principal with MEP Engineering, Inc and thirty years of experience in the engineering community Tom brings a high level of quality design as well as a strong desire for building and maintaining long-term client relationships. This is exemplified through his desire for great customer service, attention to detail, and internal quality control. He has held management positions in engineering, marketing, and business development. His diverse background and strong knowledge of mechanical, plumbing and fire protection systems has allowed him the ability to deliver design excellence and added value to client projects with a high level of client satisfaction. Tom’s most recent project experience includes; Colorado National Bank Renovation in Denver, Colorado, Colorado Sate University Student Housing Buildings I, II & III in Pueblo, Colorado, and Observatory Place Lofts adjacent to Denver University.

A Tribute to Joseph Lopeman – Co-Founder, Principal and Friend

January 7, 1966—April 13, 2009

In April 2009, MEP Engineering, Inc. lost a key part of the team as Joe Lopeman, Principal and co-founder, passed away after fighting a year-long battle from a serious motorcycle accident in April 2008. He was not only a Principal at MEP Engineering, Inc. but a true friend to many who knew him. Joe's real passion was for his family who always remained at the center of his world. He was a big sports fan, loved to have fun and enjoyed living life to its fullest and is truly missed. We continue to look to his vision and fortitude for guidance as MEP Engineering, Inc. continues to grow and looks toward the future.
