Department of Agriculture – 4H Auditorium at the Colorado State Fairgrounds
Project Description
The project included design services for the renovation of 4 buildings for the Colorado Dept of Agriculture at the Colorado State Fairgrounds in Pueblo, CO. The project included 7,100 Sq Ft. Dining Hall, 10,000 Sq. Ft. each Boys and Girls Dorms, and 7,100 Sq. Ft. Auditorium. The goal was to add new fire protection sprinkler systems with freeze protection in these historical buildings while preserving the buildings historical relevance and in the case of the Dining Hall and Auditorium returning the spaces to their original historical interior aesthetic look of an open ceiling structure. These photos are specifically the auditorium building with the ceiling removed, exposing the wood trusses that had been added in a previous remodel and after with them removed restoring the building back to the original historic look.
