Douglas County Library – Castle Rock, CO
Project Description:
MEP Engineering was selected to provide engineering services for a new Douglas County Library in downtown Castel Rock, CO. This was a design/build project with Mountain Air Mechanical, Duro Electric, and Fransen Pittman general contractors. The project was a two-story’s approximately 65,000 sq ft in total. The facility included the main library adult book area, children’s collection, and learning commons. Large public conference rooms, private study rooms, power furniture workstations, large event halls, youth services offices, children’s story time areas, archive, and storage vault. The facility also included administration offices, with open office workstations, private offices, shared offices, work rooms, training, community relations work rooms, and break rooms. Construction was completed in 2023.
