Platform at Union Station

Project Description

The Platform at Union Station project involved the design-build of a new 21-story high rise apartment building within the “A” Block development site at Union Station, an L-shaped parcel located between Wewatta and the historic station from 16th to 17th streets, in downtown Denver. Part of the largest transit-oriented redevelopment in the country, this apartment community features immediate access to the remodeled Union Station— one of the most extensive, diverse transportation hubs in the nation.

The building is 404,077 sq. ft., including 287-units, and sits atop a two-story, below-grade parking structure. Floors 5-21 house the apartment units; 69% of the apartment units are 1-bedrooms, 25% are 2-bedrooms, and 6% are studio apartments. The development includes three above-grade parking levels and two below-grade parking levels. The residential building includes a pool, fitness center, clubhouse and group restrooms on level 10, and a resident business center on level 11. Leasing office space is located on the ground level.

The development will also include a parking structure with one level below grade and four levels above to with a capacity of 602 vehicles. The project received LEED Gold Certification in 2016.

Belleview Station is a pedestrian’s dream community. The development offers easy access to light rail, bike paths, open space, fine retail, ample dining and two major highways in case driving is an option. Developers predict, “Belleview Station will become the new heart at the intersection of the DTC and the City of Denver.” We are helping that heart to start beating.
